The Amazonia is the most incredibly magical place. It is the world’s largest rainforest and river system, with a mind-blowing total of 5.5 million square kilometers. The Amazonia is also the most biologically diverse ecosystem on earth, where millions of flora and fauna make it their home. And the most biodiverse areas are consistently found on the western side of the jungle – western Brazil, Peru, and Ecuador.

As you know that the Amazon is HUGE, you need to decide which part of the Amazon you want to visit. Brazil probably comes first to mind when you plan to visit the Amazon. However, Peru and Ecuador also offer great experiences. Each country has few different gateways to enter the rainforest. Peruvian Amazonas itself has three main areas to start the journey. Where is the Amazon?

Can you visit it?

The Amazon Rainforest is located in the northern part of South America. It covers around 40% of the continent and crosses over nine countries… with the majority of the rainforest is situated in Brazil and Peru. However, the rainforest also crosses Ecuador, Venezuela, Bolivia, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname, and Colombia.

I am sure you have a burning question if you could travel to the Amazon rainforest. The answer is YES, you can. In fact, it is hugely popular and for good reasons. And in my opinion, visiting the Amazonas should be on everyone’s bucket list.

And, to ensure you have the best experience in the Amazonas, you need to go with well-trained and knowledgeable local guides. They will make sure you won’t get lost in the jungle and keep you safe while exploring, which is super important. Your guides will also help you find those amazing creatures and plants, which is sometimes challenging if you don’t know where to look. They will also ensure that your visit is ethical to keep the rainforest and wildlife undisturbed.
